Attention for all Smashing Pumpkin fans as be ready to grab an opportunity to be a member of the brand.
On 5 January, Friday, the band announced an open audition process as their guitarist Jeff Schroeder revealed to quit after 16 years. This was an open welcome from the fans who are good guitarists who can show their interest.
They wrote in that Instagram post, “The Smashing Pumpkins are searching for an additional guitarist. The interested ones can apply as the application process is open to anyone. To submit their resume and related material please send to this email id: SPGuitar@redlightmanagement.com,”
After working in a band for 16-years, Schroeder left in october. Co-founder of the band Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin, need a new guitarist. He gave a farewell statement that joining the band happened when least expected.
He described his feelings at the time of joining, “It’s simple to say that back in 2007 when I joined the band The Smashing Pumpkins, I had no clue what I was getting into. I can state that the opportunity seemed to have come out of nowhere,”.
He said in an interview, “I still remember the day when I was at UCLA working on my doctorate in comparative literature and my friend informed me that The Smashing Pumpkins were looking for a guitar player. As a huge fan of this brand, I worked hard to get into the audition and I think it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life.”

He recalled the countless memories he made over the last 16 years working with a band which was my dream. Although it was a very difficult decision to make, I have decided to bid farewell to make some space to explore a slightly different path.
